Mark Webber finished in the points in an action-packed Australian Grand Prix.

The Red Bull driver, in front of his home crowd at Albert Park, went over the line in ninth position, but it could have been so much better for the Aussie. With just a lap to go he was involved in a collision with McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, which left both cars in the gravel. Mark’s time was 1:28.471.

The day was one to forget for Sebastian Vettel, who was the victim of mechanical problems in Melbourne.
Seb’s race ended after he suffered brake failure during lap 26, leaving him stranded in the gravel. It was the second time this season a mechanical problem had seen him relinquish his position as race leader – in Bahrain a spark plug problem saw him drop down from first to an eventual fourth place.

McLaren’s Jenson Button took the chequered flag, with a time of 1:35.296. Kubica was just behind him in second, followed by Massa, Alonso and Rosberg. Hamilton came sixth.
