It's all preparation, preparation, preparation for Honda star Dani Pedrosa as he tinkers with mind, body and soul to get in tip-top condition for the start of the MotoGP world championship...

Hi everyone,

We continue to prepare for the start of the MotoGP world championship - I imagine you’re like me and can’t wait for the start of the new season.

Right now, I need to make the most of the time remaining before the season starts and my attention isn’t on the bike right now, I’m focusing one hundred per cent on my physical training. In a very short time, we’ll be working around the clock on the bike and I’ll have very little time to concentrate on my physical preparation.

"The most important thing is to arrive at the track in perfect condition."

So, I’m doing many hours in the gymnasium working on my general fitness. I’m not trying to focus on any one area because I need to avoid risks and steer clear of injury. The most important thing is to arrive at the track in perfect condition.

We are quite optimistic after our tests and I see from your comments on Facebook that you’re excited too.

Hopefully this year we'll be ready to compete all the way to the championship. At the moment, we’re still taking things one day at a time. I feel great, and so does the bike but until we line up in Qatar at the first GP of 2011, we really don’t know how it’s going to go.

So we’ll take it steadily and see how we do at the final test session at Losail International Circuit in Qatar next Monday.

Speak to you soon,

Dani
