Gaming + Red Bull = it just makes sense. Welcome to your go to source for all things games. Whether you’ve only just picked up a controller, or you’ve been gaming since a kid like me, we’ve got you covered!
ABOUT ME
I was first introduced to gaming before Bill Gates dreamt up Windows. I played many games on the DOS system, before moving on to NES and SNES games, namely playing as that rotund plumber who’s addicted to saving a consistently helpless Princess. From there it was a natural progression to the N64 (where I discovered my favourite game of all time – Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), PC gaming (The Sims, Heroes of Might and Magic, Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem) and then the Xbox (I’ve only recently indulged in a Playstation 3 – shockingly late, I know). Gaming is a big part of my family’s meaning to life – my two brothers and even my Dad clock an embarrassing/monumental amount of hours each week. I’ve been writing about games for over 2 years –in my monthly column for Dolly, and write freelance for Shop til you Drop and TheVine. I’m also that chick that pops up on your telly in the ads that talk all things Monster Hunter, Metroid: Other M and most recently GoldenEye.
I love to game. So it excites me (a little too much) to be able to bring you the latest and greatest out there.
NEWS
Mario Mixing it up
Wii users know that with the use of motion sensor controls – the sports games are a huge hit. And as Nintendo has known for 25 years, so is Mario. Introducing MARIO SPORTS MIX! The sports are different this time round – hockey, basketball, volleyball (maybe not so different…) and dodgeball. But they’ve fused it with Mario Kart styled power ups to spice it up. It’s for up to 4 players and out on January 27th. I’ve got to ask… with all this exercise – how is he still chunky?
Tetris Will NEVER Die
This game has been kicking since before I was born, but somehow strategically placing falling blocks is a game that can be redone and re-released time and time again. Nintendo brought out the remake Tetris Party Deluxe on both Wii and DS just last Christmas. This time, EA is releasing Tetris on the Playstation Network to be downloaded on the Playstation 3 in high-definition and surround sound. NOW those blocks will really give you the shits!
Lara Croft has a new set!
For under $50 in Australia you can now purchase the Tomb Raider Trilogy pack exclusive to the PS3. It basically bundles the previous instalments, but they’ve now been remastered in HD quality. In other words – her boobs will look SO much better.
Stay tuned! more to come, theres a lot happening out there!
