Minecraft marriage
Who says love is dead? On Valentines Day a BioWare employee proposed to his girlfriend. Cue the “Awwws”. But it wasn’t just any proposal – he set up a whole level on the surprisingly popular beta game Minecraft for his girlfriend to play, unveiling his engagement plans. She walks through the level, reading signs with sentimental messages written on them. When she reaches the top of the structure, she looks below at the view. Written for her, in lava pits, was a proposal that read: “MARRY ME?”

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time a gamer has decided to take it to the next level with a partner by creating and uploading an ‘engagement’ level into a game for their love to play.
One of the best games where gamers can give back is LittleBigPlanet, allowing players to unleash their imagination in unlimited fashion by creating a level of their own. Naturally, there have been several proposals in this format. It’s so sweet to hear the gasp of surprise when the reveal is made!

Girlfriend proposing to his boyfriend – note they play together and run through sharp spikes. (Also note she is better than him):

Another proposal done in a game which clearly had to be hacked or remade was created in Super Mario World – a wall was placed strategically, leaving a warp pipe the only option to progress. – Listen out for “Run faster!”

It really is the type of proposal that can make or break the relationship. Me? I DIG IT!
Until next time,
Maude
