We are heading towards the third competition of the 2011 Series and so far there has been a few mishaps.

A broken leg took Steve Black out of the Series before the qualification camp, an ankle injury in training forced Andrey Ignatenko to withdraw and Artem was unable to compete in the Mexican leg of the tour due to problems with his flight.

To add to this, Orlando Duque, the current leader, has broken his ankle skydiving and will not be able to compete for at least three months.

These three divers will be sorely missed throughout the Series, however it opens the door for new, up-and-coming divers, such as Jorge Ferzuli and Steven LoBue, to show what they can do.

These unfortunate events will definitely shake the Series up a bit and there'll surely be some new faces up on the podium in the forthcoming events.

Bring on Athens!
