After suffering a spectacular fall on the opening Moto2 Grand Prix of the year at Qatar, Marc Márquez is in a magnanimous mood as he takes stock of his mistakes and looks forward to the rest of the season.
Hi everyone,
At the Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday, I made a real rookie mistake that prevented me from finishing the race. But you know despite everything, and looking at the weekend as a whole, I think we can draw a positive balance on the first Moto2 GP of the year.
'Despite it being a really spectacular fall, it only a felt a minor hit'
I really wanted to come to the first race and set off well on the road to the World Cup. The training not could have gone better, my technical team set things up really well and I was happy with a very good race pace. However, soon after Sunday's race had started, I was in too much of a rush to get to the front of the pack and I hit the ground. Fortunately, despite it being a really spectacular fall, I only felt a minor hit and I'm feeling fine now.
I have to say I’ve learned a lot from this experience. Now, it’s time to take stock of previous mistakes and prepare for the Spanish Grand Prix. As always, that’s going to be a very special event I really want to give the best I can.
I hope to see you there!
Marc
