With lessons learned after his first Grand Prix in Portugal, Moto2 rider Marc Marquez is looking ahead to another shot at glory with this weekend's French MotoGP...
Hello!
With the Portugal GP behind us, I'm getting prepared for the next stage of the season at Le Mans - needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to this weekend. After the last grand prix, we stayed on for an extra two days to take advantage of the circuit at Estoril and get in some extra training with equipment and to test new parts on the bike. Things went very well and I got in many, many extra miles on the bike.
Now I'm spending my time on physical preparation for this weekend's GP - and getting some downtime to spend with friends and family. Last Friday, I paid a visit to the circuit at Alcaniz to see my brother Alex in the second round of the Speed Championship [CEV] in Spain.
"I know how important it is to continuously test yourself."
I have also gone through the Spanish Championships and I know how important it is to continuously test yourself. You learn a lot about yourself, your team and your bike when you're in this competition, and I'm sure my brother will continue to progress at a high level.
Looking ahead to Le Mans. I have to work hard with the team as we face another opportunity for further growth in the category.
Thanks again for your support!
Marc
