It's been another good day for three-times Olympic gold medallist Thomas Morgenstern, as he bagged more silverware for his trophy cabinet by claiming ski jumping gold at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo...
Hi guys,
We'll be starting with the test heats very soon, but before I get to work I've got time to put out another diary entry.
It's been a day I'm not going to forget in a hurry... My first single WCS title, a hand-shake with the King of Norway, his heir and his wife, an awards ceremony in front of nearly 50,000 people and a huge case of goosebumps when Austria's national anthem was played. As I said, it's been a pretty amazing day!
After all the interviews and media meetings, I left dinner quite early yesterday and tried to relax - it was good to spend some time on my own, reflecting on the day's events.
And now I’m looking forward to the next mission with the team. I’m sure it’s going to be a great day again!
Thank you to all my fans, at home and abroad, for the incredible support. To all of you, who sent me congratulations on the internet, you make these days very special for me!
Best,
Thomas
