Go Mason Go

New South Wales five-piece, Go Mason Go, has won the first phase of Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012. The five finalists Lets Not Pretend, Masketta Fall, Your Ticket Home, Go Mason Go and Break A Leg travelled to the outer suburbs of Melbourne last Saturday for the Red Bull Backyard Jam final, which took place in the backyard of Masketta Fall’s drummer, Jamie Ross. With a set up that mirrored a small festival stage, all five played their best three tracks to a backyard full of fans and friends as well as the panel of judges. The
afternoon was capped off with an awesome set from Melbourne rockers, Stonefield.

Over 150 fans came to show their support at the invitation-only jam, making signs and posters to cheer on their favourite bands.
The judges had their work cut out for them, but concluded Go Mason Go to be the stand out of the day. Judge and A&R expert Michael Parisi says, "All of the finalists were great and played really well but Go Mason Go was a stand out. While they have a way to go as a band, they have a freshness and a real point of difference. Their songs are fun, simple and catchy and they have so much scope to become a genuine contender. I’m going to enjoy helping them and watching them grow and evolve in the process”.
