Over forty BMXers have descended on Mount Beauty in the Victorian alpine region for Red Bull Dirt Pipe. Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperating for the first or second day of competition, the entire region a total wash out, as thunderous storms and insect plagues wreak havoc.

With only an hour of riding under their belts, the riders now wait it out for a change in the weather and the chance to get back on the pipe. Stay tuned for more updates!

Bringing together the raw, uncompromised style of BMX dirt jumping and the dynamic winter culture of snowboarding, Red Bull Dirt Pipe is visionary in it’s concept. The event, now in its third incarnation has lost none of it’s jaw dropping impact. Stretching over 120 metres into the picturesque Victorian high country, the intimidating vertical walls are littered with jumps, hips and wall-rides, at times over 8 metres high. With a cast of international BMX superstars and the cream of Australia’s riding talent coming together to take on this monster of dirt, progression of the sport is inevitable.
