Summer is over and the rain has been pouring… a lot. Queensland has been hit by some of the heaviest rainfall in years resulting in extensive flooding throughout the state. To assist the emergency services, all helicopters capable of winching have been called to duty to help with relief effort.
As a result, we’ve had to postpone the Red Bull Heli Surf events in Coolum and Surfers Paradise, which were originally scheduled to be held this Saturday 6 March. The new event dates will be announced here shortly.
If you’ve entered in Red Bull Heli Surf, don’t put the wax away just yet, but take the delay to work on your paddling skills!
PRIZE UPDATE FOR QLD PARTICIPANTS:
With the postponement of the Coolum and Surfers Paradise events, the Quiksilver Pro will be done and dusted and therefore we have had to come up with an alternate ultimate surf prize for the QLD participants - details will be posted here shortly.
