Robbie Maddison crossed the finish line first in the five-lap demonstration race Red Bull Race Off. Robbie 'beat' V8 Supercar driver Rick Kelly, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo and former Red Bull Racing driver and F1 legend David Coulthard.
The invitation-only event was a first and proved very popular with fans at the 2011 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. Renault supplied specially-modified Megane 250s for the foursome and despite some fierce passing and one trip to the kitty-litter, the cars and drivers made it through the 5-laps unscathed.

“To drive among my heroes was an amazing experience,” said Maddison. “We all had so much fun and kinda slowed each other up with all the passing. I made a few mistakes on the last lap and the boys caught right up, but luckily I was able to hold on.”
Robbie, Rick and Daniel also took time-out to sign autographs for an enthusiastic crowd.
