As the dust settles on Red Bull Racing's stunning one-two victory at the Turkish Grand Prix, victor Sebastian Vettel has some people to thank...
Hi guys!
What an amazing Sunday. First of all, I want to say a big thank you. Thanks to my team who worked so long and hard to fix the car again, also thank you to Mark's team who also helped and supported us. Without them, 'Kinky Kylie' wouldn't have made it out of the pit.
You see, it's not true when people talk about tension within our team. We're all here for each other and if anyone needs help, they get it. We’d do the same for them, so this was a true victory for the whole team. Thank you guys, you are unbelievable.
"Each and every pit stop was perfect."
The race itself was really tough. It was a big advantage that I was able to get away from the field from the start and get myself some time to make my pit stops - speaking of which, each and every pit stop was perfect - yet again, a big thank you to everyone.
What surprised me was how close Fernando (Alonso) got to us, which proves you should never underestimate your rivals.
I’d like to officially dedicate this win to all mothers around the world and wish them a happy Mother's Day - especially my own mum and my grandmother.
Once again, we only have a short time to celebrate this win because, although the next Grand Prix may seem far away, next weekend Christian (Horner), Adrian (Newey) Mark and I are going to the opening of the new Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
The fun starts at 10am (CET) on May 15. If you can make it there, it would be great to see you!
Sebastian
