Red Bull's very own Corbin Harris may be leading a life of luxury over in the US at the moment, but here's proof the dude with that TV show still skates and has actually done some work in between all the partying. The truth is, he's been working his arse off and has a few secrets up his sleeve for later in the year. But last month, he caught up with a little dude by the name of Ryan Sheckler, dragged a cameraman along and put together this little video - exclusive to Red Bull.
"When I was in LA about six weeks ago we did a little film of me and Ryan Sheckler hanging out," Corbs says of the flick. "He was training for the X-Games and I was kind of just skating and working on a video part for later in the year.
"We ended up skating a bunch together so between him training for X-Games and Street League, the big contest series here, and me just trying to stay on the board to get shots done, we had a filmer there and he filmed the process leading up to it all. It was shot everywhere between LA and Hollywood all the way down to San Clemente where Sheckler lives and has his own private warehouse, which is in the video as well.
"We also skated a bunch of backyard pools in the Huntington Beach area too, which was really cool." Sheckler ended up with a bronze medal at the X-Games after the film as shot. And Corbs?
"I didn't compete! I kind of just hung out and had fun," he says, of what he can remember from a hectic four months OS. "I was sort of waiting around for a wild card but it didn't happen. I watched Ryan get his bronze but which was pretty cool. But he broke his board just before the final which sort of put him off a bit."
But a heap of parties and event at the US Open were enough to sooth the pain - apparently.
"We did the whole Red Bull thing down at Huntington Beach for the US Open and there were a heaps of different parties and events to go to," Corbs says. "I hung out on the Red Bull bus with all the US team which was kinda cool, because you get all the snowboarders and the FMX dudes. It was fun."
And next on the agenda is Corbin's biggest tour of duty to date - a two-week road trip down the east coast of the US of A. "It's one of the biggest I've ever done - it's the whole Red Bull team, USA and Australia, and we are doing a road trip from New York City to Miami over 14 days. It'll be amazing," he said. "After that I'll be back in time for the X-Fighters in Sydney. I can't wait. I'm pretty excited for that, I've been away for four months!"
