More than 240 athletes are right now in the midst of snowboarding’s premier event in the southern hemisphere, the 2011 Burton New Zealand Open – watch the finale live on Red Bull TV!
The Cardrona Alpine Resort in Wanaka will be awash with top riders between August 9-13, as snowboarding’s best get a chance to compete in slopestyle and halfpipe events.
As the first event in the Burton Global Open Series and a 5-star event on the TTR World Tour, the competition has attracted some of the world’s best riders, among them BNZO’s 2010 Halfpipe Champion Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), Canadian Mark McMorris, Marko Grilc (SLO) and Scotty James (AUS), in the men’s, and Enni Rukajärvi (FIN) and Sarka Pancochova (CZE), in the women's.
For the final two days of the event which takes place in New Zealand on August 12-13, viewers can watch the riders battle it out in an action-packed live webcast on Red Bull TV.
The live action gets underway on Thursday at 10.00pm (CEST) with the Men’s and Women’s Slopestyle Finals.
