Björn Dunkerbeck began the PWA slalom windsurfing season with a healthy second place in Korea.
Antoine Albeau of France claimed the first win of the season at Jinha Beach, but nearest challenger Dunkerbeck had to be contented with second spot after the six races of the week were run.
'I am happy about the good start to the new season' – Björn Dunkerbeck
“The wind was good, but not as strong as I hoped for,” Dunkerbeck commented. “It was a great chance to test my new material, both boards and sails, and I am happy about the good start to the new season.
“My speed was definitely very good, and I enjoyed the sailing here.”
Further back, Dunki’s fellow Red Bull windsurfer, Israel’s Arnon Dagan, finished ninth.
The next PWA slalom stop is on the Costa Brava, Spain, from June 8-13.
