Surf for your Life by Tim Baker and Mick Fanning (Large).jpg

At just 28, Mick Fanning has released a biography on his remarkable journey from a boy growing up in Sydney’s west to become the ASP World Champion. Surf For Your Life, written by Mick and award-winning surfing journalist Tim Baker, is a candid, inspiring and humorous look at the greatest surfer of his generation.

Having lost his brother in a car accident at 17 and dealing with a series of injuries, Mick is the quintessential Aussie battler. But he’s the kind of sportsman that seems to be becoming extinct – he’s loyal, honest, freakishly determined, respectful, down-to-earth and a champion we can be proud of.

The book also contains practical tips on surfing technique, fitness, nutrition, board design, travel, competitive strategies and sport psychology – everything that goes into the making of a champion.

Co-author, Tim Baker, is a freelance writer, former editor of Tracks and Surfing Life magazines and recipient of the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame Media Award.
