Red Bull: Corbin! The Nike US Open. What is it and where is it at?
Corbin Harris: It's one of the biggest surf, skate and BMX contests in the world combined with a music festival. It's held at Huntington Beach, where Baywatch was based, just south of LA. It's massive!

RB: What's been the highlight so far?
CH: Hanging out with all the Red Bull guys. It's a real family vibe. And it's always good to watch the greatest surfer ever crush everyone in the contest. Kelly Slater is 39 and unstoppable.

RB: What's the vibe like?
CH: It's full on! 500,000 people on one beach... it's unreal. Jimmy Eat World and MGMT played and they had to pull in the Police riot squad because people were pushing the fence down. It's one of my favourite contests because I get to see all the Aussies from surf and that never really happens.

RB: Who is there and who you been hanging with?
CH: Been spending a fair bit of time with Julian Wilson and his brothers Bart and Seb. Ian Walsh, Taj Burrow, Johnny Gannon and Ronnie Flynn - pretty much everyone who has something to do with surfing and skateboarding.

RB: You got anything else planned while you are over there?
CH: I'm heading on one of the biggest skate tours I've ever been on from New York City to Miami. It's 15 days with all the USA and Australian Red Bull team - Ryan Sheckler, Shane Azar and all the boys.

RB: What have you been up to the past few months and what's coming up on Corbin Harris' calendar?
CH: I've got my first Red Bull contest coming up before the end of the year, which I'm really excited for. Also, there's a bunch of stuff with Element6.

RB: Any more TV shows on the cards?
CH: There are a couple of things on the go. I have a huge summer coming up with FUEL TV. Summer in Australia is going to be big! Bowlarama is going bigger, then the Australian Open for the first time. It's going to be huge!

RB: And any gossip over there?
CH: It's funny who you meet over here and I'd love to tell, but I'm keeping this G-rated!
