Merry Christmas everybody!

It’s that time of year again where the sun shines, presents flow and too much food is eaten. With my recent shoulder surgery, I’ve got a bit of forced time off this year, which I don’t mind at all. It’s been a huge year with X Games, X-Fighters and all the European and local stuff I’ve done. I’m actually enjoying the break. This year I’m going to spend Chrissy day down in Bussleton on the coast here in WA. It’s really nice down there and with the weather we’ve had lately, it should be a good time down there. Then, when New Year’s Eve rolls in, I’ll head to Exmouth with some mates for a bit of a night there.

But, with a lot of spare time up my sleeve, I’ve put together my ultimate Christmas wishlist for you. It was a tough choice when someone tells you to think of anything you can have. But, after a lot of umming and ahhing, I’ve come up with what I reckon is a pretty good list.

1. My neighbours land!
We’ve got a pretty good spot down at Donnybrook, but our neighbours have 600 acres of lush, green rolling land. I’d love to call it my own and I can only imagine what I’d turn the place into.

2. A full-size asphalt road track
It’s one thing I’d love to have on my land (besides the dirt compound). I could race cars, bikes, go-karts… anything really. It’d be damn cool to have as a back yard.

3. Dodge Viper SRT10
It’s been my dream car for a long time. It’s a thing of beauty and incredibly fast.

4. Ownership of an earth moving company
This is one that just kinda makes senses. When I don’t need it for building jumps, the company is ticking over and making me money, but when I want to build a new course or jumps, everything I need is sitting there waiting to go.

5. Dietrich Mateschitz’s air craft hanger
He’s the owner of Red Bull and has got stupid amounts of toys, but his aircraft hanger is what really gets me. Some of the planes, including the stunt planes and luxury numbers are right up my alley. Yes please!

Note: If number one came true, then two through five all come with it! (laughs) Dietrich is the man and being the man behind Red Bull means the rest of this stuff just rolls with it. So, Santa, Just bring me the one present please.

Have an awesome Chrissy everyone. Stay safe, enjoy what Santa brings and I’ll see you all in 2012!
Josh

Well, 2011 you were a cracker year! Not only was it the biggest and best year for my competitive snowboarding so far, it’s also been the most fun I’ve ever had. With my first World Championship Title, the World Tour Crystal globe, a whole bunch of travelling the world with great people, making new friends and opportunities, I simply could not have dreamt it any better.

For me, snowboarding is my life, and to be able to do what I do for a living seems surreal at times. I’ve worked hard at it since I was young and this year has really been a great journey with many rewards. The support I’ve had from my family, friends and sponsors has allowed me to get where I am and I’m forever thankful. Now looking forward I’m so ready to hit the world boardercross tour for another big northern winter season, which I aim to push the discipline of Boardercross and my snowboarding to new levels. It’s exciting times.

I love Christmas and I usually get a short break in the northern hemi winter to return home to the south coast of Australia and spend it with family. I spent one Christmas in the snow once before, but it just didn’t seem right. I need to surf on Christmas day, hang out in the sun and throw some shrimps on the barby. Ha!

As for a Wishlist, it seems hard to ask for more. But seeing as I have the opportunity to dream something up, here’s what I have come up with.

1. A Snowboard that waxes and tunes itself!
I’ve spent many hours at night waxing and scrapping my boards for the next day of snowboarding, imagine not having to!!

2. A recording studio in a tree house
I think it would be so cool to record a whole album in a tree house. Spend weeks just living like the swiss family robinson and jamming away at sunset with my band Love Charli.

3. Personal helicopter:
To explore mountains and ride fast lines with no stress of a heli budget. It would be so rad to just call it in, get picked up out the front of my house with a group of friends and ride as many fun lines in the day as possible.

4. A Gold ticket to upgrade every single flight to 1st class:
Occasionally I score and upgrade to business class. I once got upgraded to Business on a flight back to Australia. I was seated right at the front of the cabin and as I was sitting down, Louis Hamilton walked on the plane and sat down in front of me in the next cabin. He was in 1st class of course. Even though business is awesome, I would have killed to be up there with him. Im sure he had a killer party up there.

5. A David Gilmore Fender Strat:
The sounds of Dave Gilmores (Pink Floyd) guitar are freaky like no other. It takes a long time to fine-tune all your setup to make it sound so good. I would just love to play with Gilmores exact set up, even just for a week.

So, lets see how Santa goes with this one?... for now, Its back to it.

I hope everyone has a great Chrissy and enjoys a lot of yum food, family and friends. Get excited for the new year, 2012 here we come!!!Ride on,
Chumpy
