Dani Pedrosa Valencia 2011 GEPA Pictures/Gold & Goose/Patrik Lundin

In Dani Pedrosa's final blog of the year, the Spanish rider keeps us up to date with all the latest from testing in Valencia and more.

Today will be the last blog of the season for me. As I told you last week, we would be testing the bike for 2012 at the Ricardo Tormo circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday and things went quite well. We did some tests where the bike went well and at the same time we got some references from the other manufacturers.

As I said, the tests were quite positive, above all because the lap times were good and we are on the right track to getting a competitive bike next season. But there is no doubt that we will have to continue working to improve it.

At the end of January we have some tests in Malaysia and the aim is to carry on developing the bike. Until then I want to rest and regain some strength, although there will also be time to train physically if we are to be ready for the pre-season and the start of the World Championship.

This is very important if this type of test is to go well, as was the case last week in Cheste, and be able to continue working with the same confidence in preparation for the 2012 season. We hope to start the pre-season strongly on a competitive bike, as was the case this season.

I want to say farewell by thanking you again for all the support and affection you have shown me all through the season, above all during the tough times such as those we have experienced this year.

See you next season!

Regards,

Dani
