About: Not since 2002 back when the tour was called the Global Organization of Bodyboarding (G.O.B) has there been a major event held at The Box in Western Australia. Back then the hype surrounding having an event at such an amazing wave was huge, every publication worldwide wanted content and there was even a 30 minute movie made about the event. When the Shark Island Challenge was scratched from the IBA World Tour due to feuds between contests directors and the IBA, Australia lost its one and only global event.

In 2011, after too long of an absence the IBA World Tour returns to Western Australia and sets up home at The Box. This right-breaking mutant tube is recommended for only the best surfers. It throws with a lot of power over hard flat rocks. Surfing this spot on anything less than ideal conditions is just asking for a beating! Almost guarenteed to hit the reef if you fall off, this spot has seen many skilled athletes injured and has even killed. But the IBA only deals with the very best and the world's elite bodyboarder will fearlessly line up to enter The Box and try to slay The Beast.
