The Red Bull Manny Mania is all about pushing your skills to the limit! The goal is to link up as many variations of manuals with tricks in your run within the set amount of time. Who knows, if you are good enough you could find yourself at the National Final in Sydney or even the International final in New York!
Who will join the best this year? Who will be the chairman of the United Nations of skate? Red Bull Manny Mania 2010 gives an opportunity for one skater to battle their way from their neighbourhood streets to the biggest stage in the world to join the skaters they admire – and who knows, maybe even beat them.
When is it and who can enter?
Any amateur skateboarder can participate in any of the 14 qualifier rounds taking place around Australia. The top two competitors from each qualifier round will win a spot in the Australian national final taking place in Sydney on 29 May, 2010.
The winner from the Australian national final will win an all-expense paid trip to compete in the World Final taking place on 21 August, 2010 in New York. At stake for the amateur world finalists is one spot in the Red Bull Manny Mania Pro event, skating against the manual masters.
What is Manny Mania?
Red Bull Manny Mania is searching across the globe for the most skilled amateur manual skateboarders. Qualifiers and national finals will take place in 25 countries across 6 continents and the winner from each national final will get to showcase their tricks and technical skills at the Red Bull Manny Mania World Final which will be held in New York City.
Boasting some of the best professional skateboarders in both the contest and video scene, the Red Bull Manny Mania Pro event has become part of the legendary Skateboard Weekend in New York and has brought such greats to the city as Eric Koston and Chad Muska, manual experts like Joey Brezinski and Brandon Beibel and hot newcomers like last year’s USA winner Eli Reed and 2nd place finisher Mike Mo Capaldi.
