South African Jordy Smith edged out Brazilian local and Bells Beach winner Adriano De Souza in the final of the men's Billabong Pro Rio at Barra da Tijuca. The all-Red Bull final went down to the wire as Jordy and Adriano battled with progressive surfing manoeuvres in the air and the on face of the clean but inconsistent waves.
