- About this Video
- The Outpost Project transformed the gritty industrial spaces of Cockatoo Island into an explosion of urban art, thanks to the talent, commitment and energy of more than 150 artists, in a first for the southern hemisphere. As part of the festival, Australia's best breakers showed their flair in the last ever Shadow Wars competition whilst Skateboarding Australia's PRO/AM Tour's grand final was held during the last weekend, with Red Bull skaters Shane Azar and Kieran Reilly both competing. Renowned international and local artists such as ROA (Belgium), Ethos (Brazil), Kid Zoom (USA/Australia), Anthony Lister (USA/Australia) and the Everfresh Collective (Australia) illuminated the island with large-scale installations, live art creations including aerosol art, stencilling, paste-ups, sticker art, cup rocking, sculpture, murals and billboards.
