About this Video: When Red Bull Music Academy World Tour 2011 stopped in New York, they paid tribute to the Big Apple's influence on one of the most important cultural movements of our time – hip hop. Over the course of five days, the Academy looked at five classic albums – The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick – Slick Rick, Enta Da Stage – Black Moon, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) – Wu-Tang Clan, The Infamous – Mobb Deep and Diplomatic Immunity – Diplomats. The RBMA also headed to each of the five boroughs (Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island and Manhattan) to stage workshops and public talks. And when the sun went down, the artists took centre stage for a special concert bridging the gap from old to new school. Catch some highlights in this video.
