Dubai’s white sands of Jumeirag Beach Residence was the venue for the first stop in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour, where Levi Sherwood rode to glory in front of 20,000 spectators. Australia’s own Rob Adelberg took to the podium in second place, while Javier Villegas of Chile placed third. The $1 million World Tour could hardly have chosen a more incredible season opener, with the city’s shining skyscrapers and the shimmering water of the Gulf setting the scene for the infamous FMX event. The six-month long World Tour will continue at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernadino, USA on 12 May.
