Thousands of spectators will get set to explode as they witness 12 of the world's best cliff divers take on a drop of 27.5 metres at the Red Bull Cliff Diving event on 19 July, 2008.
The natural rock drop-zone in the beautiful Wolfgangsee, Austria, allows spectators a front row seat in the water itself. Spectators can attend the event by boat, on surfboards, air mattresses, or anything else that can float above water!
No room for error
Breathtaking triple flips, double twists and perhaps even the occasional quintuple flip will be the order of the day. Cramming these hair-raising tricks into 2.5 seconds, before hitting the water at 90 kilometres an hour, leaves no room for error. Cliff diving is the ultimate precision sport. Every competitor has at least two things in common: a thirst for danger and a serious perfectionist streak.Competitors
